Btrieve Error 54 or I/O error
This error message can happen at any time to any file. It always means that at least one record in the file is unusable (corrupted). Some of the reasons this could occur:
Hardware problems chkdsk or scandisk errors - cross linked files A reboot in the middle of processing information Loss of power or power surge
