Do I need to contact DataSoft prior to submitting my data?
No, there is no need to contact us; everything is handled from our web site.
If you have other concerns that are not addressed on this web site please feel free to
contact us. We are here to help you.
How do I submit my damaged Peachtree data?
From the Menu above select Peachtree Data Recovery, then select Fix My Data Now.
Complete the first screen (your contact and billing information), on the second
screen you will need to approve the agreement, on the third screen you will see a browse
button, click it. This will show a file dialog box for your computer, navigate
to where the Peachtree backup file or Peachtree zipped file resides, double click on it and then click
the submit button. Keep an eye on the upload screen, verify that it has completed.
It could take sometime for your data to transfer, it all depends on the size of
the file and your internet connection speed.
Can you help me with gathering my Peachtree data and restoring the fixed files?
Yes, DataSoft can provide you with Secure Remote access. We can connect directly
to your workstation allowing our technicians to work directly with you on your computer.
There is no additional charge for this service.
What happens if you cannot fix our Peachtree data?
In the event that we are unable to repair your files, there is no charge for us
trying. Sometimes we just cannot repair files that are damaged because the
data no longer exists in the file. The operating system has deleted the information
and no company or process can retrieve data that no longer exists. If we are
unable to repair 100% it is very likely that we can tell you what transactions are
missing, even create them for you (if data exists).
How long does it take?
Normally our service takes about 2 - 4 hours after we have received your data.
It really depends on how large your company's data is and how much damage exists.
We understand that you company is unable to function without your accounting data
and we make every effort to expedite getting your company back up and running.
If we receive your data after normal business hours you can expect it return using
the same 2 - 4 hours window the following business day. Please note that data
recovery jobs submitted 2 hours prior to our normal closing business hours maybe
subject to next day delivery. The bottom line is that we will expedite your
request and try everything in our power to get your repaired files back to you ASAP.
Do you guarantee your work?
It is your responsibility to review your data after receiving your fixed data back.
DataSoft does not know what the correct balances are, your inventory or customer
transactions, etc. Please review the data prior to starting your normal entries.
It is possible that the last transaction you where working on has not been saved.
Please verify the last entries you where working on prior to the data becoming currupt.
Because something (system failure, network problemd) happened that caused the data
to be damaged, it may be possible that it will happen again. If after a period
of time you need to have the data fixed again, it is considered to be a new Data Recovery
Service.
How safe is our information?
This is a secure site, any information transferred between your computer and our
server is encrypted. When you enter important data on our web pages, look
for the padlock icon that displays in most browsers. This shows you the web
page your are accessing is secure. We normally delete all your companies data
3 business days after your recovery has been finished. This provides you with
a backup if something should go wrong during the download transfer.
